This a thread from 2008 in Gente che gioca:
http://www.gentechegioca.it/smf/index.php/topic,240.msg2516.html#msg2516

This is a direct quote from my answer in that thread:

"Entrambe le cose. Il dado piĆ¹ alto applicabile, a discrezione e giudizio del master (che decide se ti meriti quel dado o no)"

Translated: "the highest die applicable, at the discretion and judgment of the Master (he is the one who decide if you should get the die or not)"

Ron, long due: for what it's worth, I'm sorry.

On the other hand, I'm not always cool with your tones either. My first reaction to your last post would be to take a defensive stance and push back word by word, which would be useless and needlessly exhausting but is what you invite by trying to guess at my unstated motives, making assumptions about my opinions and experience, and so on. I'm resisting that urge for now, also based on the tentative assumption that I might have unwittingly invited that behavior myself, probably because the intended meaning and tone of my words got lost in translation or something. I'll be careful which enthusiasms I express and how.

Moreno: What?! I misremembered, then, and now I have no idea where I got that particular idea from. I apologize for misquoting you. Now that you mention it, the whole "bonus for higher ground" thing ought to have pointed me toward the inconsistency. Some things we agree about and some we don't, indeed. :)

What this post is for, though, is mostly recording that my Sorcerer game is over. Two days ago, we reached a definite "endgame" state and agreed there's no point to a "sequel" anymore. It really was intense, both in a good way and in a sort-of-bad way --- in fact, one of us was hit with unexpected bleed and is still in the process of recovering. It's just a minor thing, hopefully, but again it shows Sorcerer is a horror game indeed, at a level few other role-playing games can match, with everything it entails.

That's it for now. I'll be back to this conversation when I have time to devote to it.
