Title: [Danger Dudes] Light hearted narrative based action movies
Post by: Rich Stokes on March 23, 2004, 02:26:27 PM
To mark the first anniversary of me shooting my mouth off about this project, here is the first release of Danger Dudes (http://www.indie-rpgs.com/viewtopic.php?t=5682), my beer and chips narrative betting game.  This should probably be considered an "alpha" release: The game has had play tests and they've been successful, but not extensive.  All the examples in the rules came from actual play, and I'm really driving to get this finished in the next month or so.

There are a few things I know are missing: The example scenarios are missing and I haven't really expanded on how to put the number is place for each act.

Any feedback appreciated, mainly I'm worried about whether the principles of the game come over easily and clearly.  What's missing?  What's there but pointless?  Are there any glaring typos?  Things like the distinction between the Plot Pool and the Bank etc.

Anyone who plays the game and gives me a report on how things went will get credited etc etc.

One thing I've noticed since going back to this project is a certain similarity to Wushu, but I really hadn't seen Wushu when I came up with the core idea.  I've also looked at Extreme Vengeance and Hollyworld since this games conception, but they're not really big influences.  Or at least I think they're not...
