Here's Daniel Coffin's RPGnet post about his first town: dogs in the vineyard: saint's rest (my players, get lost) (http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=145841).
I'm pointing to it because the town hits me, as I say, in the belly.

Oh, oh, that's good.
Here (http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?p=2961060#post2961060)'s Daniel's play writeup.
Kids? His Dogs made the thief the new Steward.

Very nice.
Wow. Reading along it made perfect sense, but I'd never have expected it.
I noticed that he did the NPCs up ahead of time, rather than mushing proto-NPCs into form at the moment. Do you think that's a plus-- he had an vision of the NPCs, so why not stat them out early? It sounds like it worked out fine.
And I agree with the posters in those threads-- Paka and Daniel run (and write up) impressive games.
