Title: Who's Online - Bolded
Post by: Silmenume on October 11, 2004, 08:12:44 PM
Does anybody know the significance of the bolding of certain names on the Who's Online portion at the bottom of the General Forge Forum page?

Just curious...

Those people moderate at least one forum on the Forge.

And just so people know what moderating is about ...

Clinton and I are the only moderators in the General forums. We both have full authority, but if we disagree, I have final say when it comes to content/conduct, and he has final say when it comes to format/presentation.

Others are moderators in specific forums. That means they have full power in those forums as they choose to define it, and Clinton and I have none (except of course in our own). The other moderators do not have moderator authority in the General forums.

Best,
Ron

but i'm a bad and lax moderator. I just say, "hey!" and point to menacingly to Ron. "You don't want that, do you?"

Actually, the Conventions forum is pretty well-behaved. After the first month or two, I think most of the kinks were ironed out.

just chiming in...
