Title: Genghis Con advertising
Post by: Paul Czege on November 08, 2004, 06:54:15 PM
Heather Barnhorst, who recently wrote a review of My Life with Master, has asked me to extend an invitation to the Forge community. It seems that she runs Genghis Con. And although the exhibitor area is sold out, there is still room in the program booklet for advertisements. And she believes there's benefit from exposing indie games Genghis Con attendees.

She indicates that they "take product in trade for advertising at the 'standard rate' at full MSRP," and suggests that several publishers could even combine together for one ad. She explains that product taken in trade is used as prize support for tournaments, and is sometimes also given to volunteers who've run a lot of games, although "these guys usually are our Alpha Gamers, they tend to use it to evangelize."
