Title: The "Ransom" Model of Distribution
Post by: jknevitt on December 10, 2004, 03:23:47 AM
Greg Stolze talks about his new distribution model here (http://www.danielsolis.com/meatbot/buy.html).

I personally love the idea. If I felt I could muster up enough support for Tribe, Pyongyang or RUN, I'd give it a shot myself.[/url]

...and?

There's already a thread here (http://www.indie-rpgs.com/viewtopic.php?t=13613), if you haven't seen it.

It seems like the ransom model hinges on existing reputation, so it would be kinda futile for an "unknown" to try it. If you wanna talk about strategies for non-established publishers to try non-standard distribution models, though, I'd be up for it. Unless there's another direction you'd like to take the thread?
