Title: Art Deco Sorcerer on the big screen
Post by: joshua neff on December 21, 2004, 06:48:30 PM
When Ron first started the Art Deco Melodrama threads and described the look and feel of the setting, how did I picture it in my head?

Pretty much exactly like the trailer for Sin City.

Seeing the trailer makes me want to do a run of Art Deco Melodrama Sorcerer. And, you know, see the movie.

Yup.

I don't suppose anyone would cruise back to Chapter 7 of the Sorcerer core book and note the references to Sin City there. It was one of the top influences on my early games, and as such, one of the easy reference points for me when coming up with the Art-Deco forum exercise.

Best,
Ron

Funny, I just e-mailed that trailer to my players in the Blood-Simple game, citing it as another influence on the setting.
