I just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone again for all their help over the last few months. As of yesterday afternoon Valherjar: The Chosen Slain officially hit market. http://www.gmpress.com/valherjar
And, on that note, I also thought I'd ask real quick if anyone has any suggestions on sites to hit to promote the game (drop a press release, post to a board, etc.).
Thanks again!
Greg,
FYI, I can't seem to download the New Player information. The connection just times out every time I attempt to click on any of the links leading to it.
EDIT: Hrm...nevermind, I just tried again and it came through.
How long do you expect shipping of a print to take?
Hey Grey,
Just as an FYI, the problem with the download was my site host. Figures that the first time I ever have problems with them is the day I launch my bleedin' game.
As for the print game, I'm going through Lulu (which has been the topic of much discussion on this board) who I've heard can be as fast as a few days and as slow as two weeks. When I spoke with them they seemed to feel an average would be about a week, which isn't too bad.
Greg,
Of course, there is rpg.net to pimp the game on. Have you considered sending a copy to Ken Hite for possible review in his column? I've noticed he's reviewed a few indie games, and liked many of them.
Also, any chance you might get the game sold through Indie Press Revolution?
Thanks, Greg! I'll order when I get back from vacation, then, so I don't miss its delivery.
As to other places to advertise, since there is d20 conversion material therein, have you sent a press release to ENWorld?
I'd recommend posting an actual play report of a Really Cool Session (on here and/or rpg.net).
