I had a few spare hours at work the other day, so I put together a desktop image for DitV. You can grab it here:

It's ironic that a game about human relationships got an image with no people in it. I didn't notice this until it was almost done. Weird. Anyway, I decided to go symbolic with this one, using icons for demons, violence, scripture, and the faithful.
I collected a lot of excellent period photographs while working on this one, so there may be a second Dogs desktop in the future, featuring a Dog and his coat.
It is beautiful.
Wow.
Dang John, that rocks! Looking forward to seeing the other one.
Hey, do you have the other Forge images you did around anywhere? I seem to remember seeing Sorcerer and Trollbabe. I know there were others, but I'm drawing a blank. I used to have it bookmarked, but I can't find it anymore.
Thanks for sharing this with us.
Glad ya like it.

My website is in serious flux right now, though. I can't promise that the link will work for very long.
Indeed it is...what's with the Portuguese hack? Is that recent?
I'm just sittin' here with my jaw swinging.
Unreal. Gorgeous.
John!

Well, I couldn't have asked for a better response, V. And a link on anyway, too! Shiny.
And it's the least I could do. My own jaw came unhinged when I started reading DitV and it still hasn't quite gone back right. That game deserves its own gallery's worth of tribute art. Maybe a mural somewhere.
I really need to finish the second DitV image. There's a layer in the Photoshop file called "ghost dog." That alone is worth going back to.
those are... stunning. And evocative. I think I get the games more now, just from seeing your images. Wow.

I was wondering if anyone has a local copy of the Dog's desktop that John created, since it appears that his site has been hacked. :(
Dang, looks like I missed my chance to see these images. :(
I've changed hosts, but haven't moved everything yet. I'll put them back up when I get to work tomorrow.
The Dogs desktop (and the rest) are back online here:

Thanks for reminding me to put those back up.
Oh, my. Those are all superb. Thanks for my new desktop, John!
Dude. You totally rock. Once I finally get my ass around to publishing I'm totally going to give you a ring and chat about a cover design.

Now that you've given the Devil your little finger...
The Dogs background is really really really really good! Any chance of getting versions for some other resolutions, like 1400 x 1050? Oh well, the overall look of the image is a bit fuzzy - it does not suffer much if stretched.
Cheers,
+ Mikael
John, this is really good work. You've forced me to make a tough decision between a lovely photo of Goblin Canyon and your evocative screen saver. Damn your eyes, just when my life was getting simpler.

No problem, thanks for making those cool wallpapers in the first place!
I'm only new to this site and DitV, but I had to comment on the beautiful images. Awesome!!!!
So, John...
Still making those desktops?
