Title: OtherJedi dark force dice
Post by: chris_moore on March 23, 2005, 09:14:46 PM
Okay, so my friend Michael is planning to run a Jedi game using a variant of the basic Otherkind dice categories.
The four categories are "Do" (there is no try), Safety, Narration, and Serenity.  Low dice in the Serenity category mean you've lost control of your emotions, let loose your anger, and have crossed the line into dark side land to relsolve the conflict.  When that happens, you gain a dark force bonus die.  You roll this die, along with your basic dice, for every conflict.  If you ever decide to use it (place it in a category) then you somehow used the dark side to resolve the conflict.  If you do this, you gain ANOTHER dark force die.  You never HAVE to use them, but if you do, you take one more step down the dark path.  Until you rack up five dark force dice.  Then you LOSE a basic die.  You just don't have enough basic dice to cover all the categories.  So you might end up having to use those dark force dice in your categories, you naughty little Sithling, you!
I'd love feedback and questions of clarification, chris

I like this better than using Dogs for Star Wars.
