Title: With Great Power... needs super artist
Post by: Michael S. Miller on July 06, 2005, 05:07:49 PM
With Great Power..., the game of melodramatic superhero stories, needs a cover artist. Please send links to samples to me either via PM or e-mail in the button at the bottom of this post. Here's the kind of artist I'm looking for.

1) Must work quickly. I need the cover finished by 7/25/05--latest.

2) Must work inexpensively. I'm looking to pay $100 for non-exclusive PDF and print publication rights (i.e., I get to publish it as the cover of my game--but you can also sell someone else the rights to publish it) and limited exclusive promotional rights (i.e., I get to use it in advertising my game and for promotional items [like not-for-sale display posters], but no one else gets to advertise their RPG with it). You keep copyright and merchandising (i.e., I'd have to pay you more if I wanted to *sell* posters or T-shirts, etc.). In both the terms and the price, I'm willing to negotiate, but please state that in the initial message.

3) Must have the right superhero style. I'm looking for a four-color cover in the tradition of Buschema, Romita, Sr., and Kirby. I have specific art direction in mind that I'll share with you if I like what I see in your samples--it won't be "draw something cool." If you can't do color, I may still be able to work with you. It's a big plus if you can deliver final product as a 6-7/8" x 10-3/4" TIFF file, CMYK, 450 dpi. If you can't handle the file requirements, or don't even know what that means, I may still be able to work with you. Please state influences, and any difficulties with color or computer requirements in the initial message.

Thanks.

1. please describe, in detail, the piece you want.

2. with such a tight deadline, can payment be expected upon completion?

Hi, Unheilig.

Thanks for the offer, but I've already found Ian Sokoliwski (http://www.angelfire.com/comics/red_bee/).

For future, around here, it's generally preferred to post links to images in your posts, rather than the images themselves. They certainly do look good, though.
