Title: SOBRPG - Alife Language
Post by: www.bionicbros.de on March 15, 2002, 08:30:20 PM
Within March-April 2002 we have opened a window to an evolutionary
programming language. The language is purely symbolic is used to guide
new cluster gaming system. It is clearly different than what you have
seen and underlies the game we have mentioned on occasion within GUN. This is no advertisment nor is an attempt to sell YOU anything. Take a look - If interested in joining its encoding contact us. Window open

Well, after cruising around the website I have to say that I'm definitely curious about this project.  I really hesitate to call it a game just because it sounds like so much work.  I didn't understand half the stuff I read but hopefully its a work of genius and not utter shite.

You gotta love anything that far out.

When the pen & paper version is ready, I'm willing to try it and discuss it on the Forge in a relevant forum.   I do feel abashedly uncomfortable about your way of advertising SOB on the Forge, however, especially since you don't participate with any of the actual discussions regarding game design, game theory, game reviews, or game publishing or game play.   (presenting a link for view and asking people to check it out is in fact advertisement of said site even if its not a paid, formal advertisement)

I agree with Laruel. It is an advertisement. This is the Indie Game Design forum, not the "announce upcoming games" forum.

I'd also like to refer back to your original post: http://indie-rpgs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1328 where you asked for opinions. I still can't find an RPG at your website!
