Title: Kvelling
Post by: Judd on November 05, 2005, 02:38:50 PM
KVELL: To beam with pride and pleasure, Jewish parents are prone to kvell over
their children's achievements.

I'm going to kvell over Primetime Adventures, after running it twice this week with two different groups.

The gaming world would be a better place if everyone played Primetime Adventures.  The gaming world would be a fully functional place if everyone learned to play by playing Primetime Adventures.  It plays like a tutorial for good play.

Pay attention to your fellow players and enjoy their contributions to the table.  Make creative contributions to the table.  Make conflicts central to your character's conflict.  Play a campaign in bite-sized chunks.  Create a setting through collaborative effort.

Preach it, Brother Judd.

This is why PTA sometimes scares old-skoolers right out of their combat boots. It is so... well... sane... in its approach to roleplaying fun that it can throw way too much light on the ugly little thing that passes for gaming for some folks. Thus the hue and cry of RPGnet that PTA "isn't a real RPG."

Whew. Safe again. Back into the darkness!!

Does it have treasure?

I do wish Paka would stop gushing over games. It's having a nasty effect on my bank account.
