Title: My PC creation strategy
Post by: Vaxalon on July 27, 2006, 08:09:20 PM
I like to play characters with complicated personal lives but I don't like to see them die.

So when I make a Dogs PC, I assign d4 traits to things that are likely to be invoked in "just talking" conflicts, and d8 and d10 traits to things that are likely to be invoked when the guns come out.

This is probably obvious to most of you folks, but I thought I'd share.

Give examples!

My just-past character had "I don't flinch or hesitate 3d10" by the end. It was awesome - well, awesome and problematic. See, I wouldn't flinch or hesitate, so I got all those big dice, but suddenly lead's flyin' and my friends are all sitting there looking at their regular old small dice. I got them shot a lot.

Vincent,

He, unlike you, might be alright with getting his pals killed.  He just doesn't like getting his own character killed.  :)

Hey, if they don't like getting shot at... they can give.
