Title: [TSOY] distilled vs undistilled poison?

How do distilled poisons differ from undistilled? TSOY pages 171-173 describe the poisons' effects with different verbiage, but I don't see a significant difference.

First, undistilled poisons can only be taken orally, which limits their use. Distilled poisons can be applied in a variety of ways, explained in the text. Second, distilled poisons can be used with the Secret of Metastasis to layer on multiple effects.
