Title: Missile Pool stuff
Post by: Mokkurkalfe on June 08, 2002, 12:14:46 PM
There is this one little thing I can“t understand.
The book says that you can avoid missiles(arrows and stuff) with the Partial Evasion maneuver. But what about those cases where you are running away from a guy and not fighting? If you are running around in zickzack(MP -3) and using your entire CP(say 14) to dodge, you will be VERY hard to hit. Is it supposed to be that way?

I also have an optional rule. You can roll an AG/TN 8 vs. the archer's PER/TN 6 once every round instead of moving. If you succeed, you have thrown off the archer's aim so much that his MP goes down to zero and he has to start all over again. Failure (maybe) means that there will be now movement penalty should the archer fire this round.

Remember that unless you are currently enganged in melee combat (which you wouldn't be if you're zig-zagging away) that you use reflex (or was it AG?) to dodge, not your CP. And yes, you would still be very hard to hit.
