Title: IRC Channel For Online Play (Tomorrow?)
Post by: Nathan on June 09, 2002, 11:51:34 PM
Hey folks,

Let's give this a good ol' run.

I am going to host some Eldritch Ass Kicking games on Monday nights on the Magicstar IRC Network. If interested (or perhaps if it is a slow night), I would definitely be interested in getting some indie games going in there. So, let's shoot for this.

server: irc.magicstar.net
channel: #IndieRPGs

Monday, June 9, 2002 - 7:00 PM CST/8:00 PM EST/5:00 PM PST

If no one wants to game, perhaps we can just chat about this and that. The Magicstar network is a network run by gamers and has a variety of tools built into the network -- rolling dice, gm tools, etc. Who is in it? I say - let's run something like InSpectres, Sorceror, or something else?

Thanks,
Nathan

Sounds good to me.

Have you posted this on the indie-rpgs yahoo group, as well?  The yahoo group is tailor-made for such announcements.

Uhh... I just got MIRC, so I'm kindof lost...  I joined magicstar: Random server, then "#indieRPGs".  I might be doing something wrong, and I've not a clue how to use the functions.  What RPG could we play?  I have limited experience.  Any private message would be good.  If not, then I'll take "That annoying little kid that get's shot first" for my template type or class or whatever.

Hey Pyron and JB,

JB - I need to post it there. Where is the link again?

Pyron - If you can join the channel, you have got most of it down. I can show you the rest this evening. I'm not sure what game we will decide to play or if we want to chat. We should pull out something. Maybe we could playtest Otherkind? It would be fun.

Thanks,
Nathan
