Title: Announcing Synthesis v. 1.8 (was "Self System")
Post by: J B Bell on June 16, 2002, 07:12:19 PM
I am very pleased to announce the public release of Synthesis, version 1.8.  Synthesis is a broad-based Narrativist system that permits a wide variety of possible Premises and Settings.  The Conflict system at its heart supports tense, interesting narration.

Thanks to some rollicking fun Actual Play by e-mail, this new version incorporates many changes that serve to streamline the system and clarify the text.  I hope you all will check it out under its new name here:

More development is happening continually--we will keep you posted it as it happens.

I'm biased, of course, but I think it's a really excellent system that is only getting better.  We would love to hear any comments, especially from anyone playing the game!

P.S. I should perhaps apologize for the slightly hucksterish prose of the first announcement--it was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, but I think it missed its mark.
