Hi,
From which translation of the Odyssey did you pull the quotes in Agon? They're quite nice.
Arg!
I was so ready to bust out some prime "I am so smart, S-M-R-T", perhaps a little "Ok brain, I don't like you, and you don't like me" for variety.
Stupid ancient greeks.
The Iliad quotations are from translations by Stanley Lombardo and Robert Fagles. They're both great, but I prefer Lomabardo's for its straightforward (yet still poetic) language.
The Argonautica quote is from a translation by E.V. Rieu.
The others are from Dan Simmon's novels Ilium and Olympos.
Thanks. I hadn't considered Lombardo.
