Title: [Shoestring budget] Interior artist needed
Post by: rafael on March 31, 2008, 04:32:23 PM
Hello! I'm working on a sourcebook for my game, Dread: The First Book of Pandemonium. I require interior artwork.

This book will be sold 'at cost' -- no profits for me! So, the budget is limited. Obviously.

Here's the deal:

Contract for illustrations for RPG sourcebook.
$100, via paypal, in advance.
Payment in early April, delivery in early May (or thereabouts).

12 black-and-white images.
One illustration is a half-page landscape.
The rest are 1/4-page images of demons and/or people.

Caveat: gore, demons, nudity, blasphemy, corpses.

Interested? Post your galleries here or email them to me (spaniard[at]dread-rpg[dot]com). Thanks!

My gallery can be found here (http://www.daegmorgan.net/gallery.php). Assuming you think my style would fit what you're going for, I should have the free time to do such this month. However, to be up front about my ability to deliver 12 illos. in one month: I could try, but it would be an exceedingly tight deadline for me. Is there any wiggle room on that or is it set?

There's definitely wiggle room -- I recently worked with an artist who was able to produce several quarter-page illustrations per week. However, this person's schedule was obviously not the norm. So I apologize for the questionable scheduling there.

I'll leave the deadline to the artist in question.

Awesome. And there's absolutely no need to apologize. (Honestly, I pray to the gods of fast artists who can crank out illos. like they were writing letters. Someday, maybe.)

I think the artist in question is a student, so that may account for the extra free time.

Anyhow! This contract has been awarded.

Thank you, Raven! I can't wait to see what you come up with. The Witch-knight in your gallery is so utterly bad-ass...
