I'm doing a Tri-Stat-esque attribute division, and I'm having trouble naming my "Mind" attribute. As is, I have Materia for Body, Anima for Spirit, but nothing thematically the same (as in, "something"-ia) for Mind that also sounds elegant (so, something like Mentalia doesn't work). And before someone suggests, "Mentia", I should mention that it's Spanish for "S/He would lie." (as in, be dishonest)... :)
So, any suggestions? Thanks.
Cancel that, I just found a pretty major snag in my three stat system. Doh!
Mensia. Mentisia.
Epistimia.
Gnaritas, Conscientia, Scientia.
Gnosis
Sentience
Knowedge
while i can appreciate and understand why, from a settings standpoint, one might name things "weirdly" i have to say, if there is just a simple word for it, use that. i really don't like having to perform a "translation" to remember what something is suppose to be.
if something is body, i would rather just read it as body, which i have an idea of what that probably is already. mind, body and spirit work rather well on their own without having to be dressed up.
Well, Materia is M, and Anima is A, so now you need something that starts with a D so that your stats spell MAD.
