Title: Legends Walk! - ancient and modern superheroes
Post by: Tim Gray on August 26, 2002, 10:20:13 AM
Legends Walk! is now finished and available as a 1.5MB shareware pdf (169 pages, no art) at //www.legendswalk.co.uk.

It's a supers game where powers come from the gods, heroes and monsters of mythology, which gives it an interesting twist. The system is quite simple, particularly for a supers game, based on variable pools of d6 and counting successes. Character creation is point-based; choose a programme for your Source (Balder, Manannan, the Hydra, etc) and pick 1-3-point options from those available. There are point pools for making that extra effort (extra die) and reflecting accumulated "luck" (rerolls, lucky breaks, experience). The default setting's a 2020 Earth affected quite a lot by the presence of metahumans, but the system can be used for other settings.

(Clinton &co - let me know if this isn't the right forum for plugging!)

Tim,

It's cool - everyone gets one plug. (Plus, I told you to plug this morning.)

If you have any interesting stories from play of "Legends Walk," you might want to go to the Actual Play forum and post them.

I checked out the teaser.  Looks sweet.  I'll be checking out the full version some time this week.

Any opinions yet? I've had a couple of obvious mistakes/omissions pointed out, so there'll be an errata page on the site shortly. (sigh)
