Title: Second Trollbabe story's up
Post by: Ron Edwards on November 12, 2002, 05:01:23 PM
Hi there,

Right on schedule, the second Trollbabe story has begun at the Adept Press site (http://www.adept-press.com/trollbabe). This one's called "The Green Goo Feud" and it's illustrated by Rod Anderson.

Thoughts and comments are welcome!

Best,
Ron

.... and the second strip scrolled in, so the software's (yay) doing its job.

Any comments or thoughts? This one's just beginning, I know, so I don't expect much about its content yet, but any news is good if it lets me know that people are reading it.

Best,
Ron

I'm reading it.

The short story arcs, and the impossibility of looking back beyond the last two strips, are very, very annoying.

I'm reading it too.  I dig it, but I agree with Seth about only being able to see the previous two episodes.  I missed one in the middle of James' story.

Um, actually ... James is supposed to have the whole "Death and Sex, with Music" up at his website. I have to get after him about that.

Ron

I'm spoiled by webcomics like Sluggy Freelance.  I expect a single story to last at least 50 daily strips.  That makes a six-strip story seem painfully abbreviated.

I have to admit I'm having a similar reaction. Tho I don't think you have to be spoiled to find the latest strip pretty abbreviated -- I mean, she yells and then the Skorlings show up? Bam? Isn't Trollbabe a Narrativist game? Could we have s'more dialogue?

Just my $0.02...

Hello,

The first story, "Sex and Death, with Music" is available at the Random Order Creations comics page (http://www.randomordercreations.com/comics.html).

Ralph, you think you're biting your tongue ...

Hi everyone,

Retta gets naked and takes a soapy bubble bath in this week's strip. Yes she does!!

I suppose the link (http://www.adept-press.com/trollbabe/comics.html) would be of interest ...

Best,
Ron

Uh...you didn't frame my girlfriend into a soapy bubble bath scene when you ran this scenario at GenCon, did you? Do I need to implement a "no gaming separately" policy next year?

Hi Paul,

H'm, I can't remember. So many women, so many games, so many soapy bubble baths ... it's hard to keep straight. Life's hard when you're a charismatic cult leader with a good line of jargon.

Best,
Ron

I am appalled that my art is being used in the service of salacious cult mind games! Because it is immoral. . . because it preys on the weak. . . but mainly because I wasn't invited!

Splish, splash (giggle!), whoa! watch out there. Hey, that's my foot ...

I'm sorry, Rod, did you say something? Just leave the champagne and duck outside the door, there's a good fellow.

Best,
Ron
