Title: About this forum
Post by: Ron Edwards on August 17, 2001, 07:11:00 AM
Hey everyone,

"Actual Play" is supposed to be about exactly that. It's a forum for discussing what really happens during game sessions.

The goal is to get practical. Anyone should be able to attend this forum and recognize what's being discussed. More abstruse or principle-based issues should be in RPG Theory or GNS. (These issues CAN be brought up here in this forum, but only as they relate to actual instances of play.)

As a rule of thumb, if you haven't mentioned a specific RPG, a particular player group, and an instance of play in your post, then it shouldn't be the start of a thread in this forum.

Best,
Ron

I just want to back Ron up on this one. A degree of tangency just happens in forums, but try to keep it about the games you're in.
