Title: International Gamer's Day
Post by: Nev the Deranged on June 05, 2003, 02:34:36 AM
Saturday the 7th is International Gamer's Day!

Go ye forth and patronize all manner of Gaming Establishments, regaling their proprieters with praise and adulation (and money) for their continuing contribution to the cause.

Likewise give thanks to all your fellow Gamers and rejoice in the companionship of our fine and noble hobby!

Really? According to whom? I'm not saying you're wrong, but I had no idea such a thing existed.

I'll be celebrating by playing paintball. :-)

Happy International Gamer's Day!

I mean, I'm happy to embrace the idea.

Where does that come from, anyway? Nev, did you make this up?

Best,
Ron

That's so cool, because the 8th is "International Buy My Game Day" -- so buy my game! Wow!

Yeah, KenzerCo came up with the idea. They've got a logo and everything.

I wonder if they'd let people use their logo?

Unfortunately, I've got so much on my plate this week, I probably don't even have time to ask.

Sadly, the planned local festivities to be perpetrated by said KenzerCo did not go down as planned.

However, I did get out there and spend some money... got the copy of Once Upon a Time I've been looking for for months, and on the way out, what did I spy with my little eye, not even put away on the shelf yet, but the glaring, funky, yellow-covered copy of Sex & Sorcery that now graces my bookshelf.  Lucky me, I didn't even think it'd be out in the stores for another week.

I think I also turned some gamers on to the joys of Dagorhir, although sadly I haven't managed to make it to a meet yet this season >.<  Damn me.
