Title: Forge-like Forum, but for non-RPGs?
Post by: lumpley on July 01, 2003, 02:19:11 PM
So I've designed a couplea non-RPG games, board and card games and whatnot, and I wonder, does anybody know of a good online forum for discussing such things?  Something indie / self-publishing oriented?

Well, you can't go wrong with the Board Game Geek.

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/cgi-bin/ikon/ikonboard.cgi

Also, perhaps a forum could be made here for this purpose? I mean, sure, it doesn't connect directly to RPGs, but board game design can inform RPG design, particularly Gamist RPG design.

There is always the:  Board Game Designer's Forum (http://www.bgdf.com/).

Break a leg!

Thanks Kirt, Kester.  That's just what I was hoping for.

(I find my board game design informed by rpg design, more than the reverse.  FitM rocks board games too, for instance.)
