Title: HeroQuest Character Creation
Post by: dunlaing on August 22, 2003, 10:36:54 PM
My group would like to start up a game of HeroQuest as soon as possible.

Does anyone here know how character generation works in HeroQuest?

I'm just talking about from the point where you've got all of your abilitiesat 13 and keywords at 17 written down, not anything leading up to that.

Is it "add 20 points of stuff" like the Sample Characters pdf?

Or is it something more like the old "you get one at 5W, two at 1w"?

And do you have to pay extra to be a devotee or an adept or a shaman?

It's add 20 points of stuff; you can buy devotee/etc status for 3 points.

All the best

Hi,

I assume that you have seen the character creation synopsis in the Game Aids file at http://www.glorantha.com/support/samples.html? If not, check it out. While it is not overly informative it mentions all the basic steps. Also, remember that the rules for followers are different; diferentiating between retainers and sidekicks.

Well, you've probably already noticed this, but I mention it just in case. :-)

Cheers,
