Title: alternatives
Post by: BPetroff93 on September 10, 2003, 03:51:56 AM
Hey Matt,

Check out Heroquest (formally Hero Wars) for a similar technique to your "card" method....my vote would be to import Heroquest into a D&D setting but, well, that's just me ;)

Hello,

The above post was split from the thread My players' motivations and rewards (http://www.indie-rpgs.com/viewtopic.php?t=1718).

Brendan, check out the Forge Etiquette sticky in the Site Discussion forum to review the protocol for posting to (or rather about) old threads.

But hey, continue the discussion, too! If I recall correctly, Matt has just discovered the outstanding goodness that is Hero Quest, so let's see what we can discuss.

Best,
Ron

Thanks Ron, I linked to the thread through another thread.....didn't notice that it was old.

On the Heroquest subject; I have a copy of Hero Wars and have yet to purchase the new version.  Any one out there have some actual play examples of the new version working better or worse than the old?
