Title: Areas Armor Protects
Post by: Sir Mathodius Black on October 05, 2003, 04:25:59 PM
Since it isnt in the rulebook and i havnt found any posts on it, is there any place i can find exactly what parts of the body each piece of armor covers?  For example, i dont know if breastplate only covers the upper body of if it goes down to the knees or what.

Thanks
SMB

Try looking up pics of armour on the net or checking your library.  There're almost as many different armours as people who wore it, so have fun.

This will be very well covered in TFOB, in fact I've already written it :-)

(Second draft stage anyway, but it's yet to pass by Jakes eyes).

Not until Jake's seen it and it's been through his rigorous standards checking, been re-written, re-approved, trashed, re-written, buried in soft peat for three months and used to make firelighters, then been re-written again and finally approved.

Perhaps then :-)

But yeah, Brigandine armor is in there, since you mentioned it (in another thread).

In my game we kind of pay it fast and loose. We go with the whole philosophy of each piece is made individually. It fits each person differently. Each suit is pretty much determined upon first wearing it and lines are drawn on the character armour map.

Don't worry, I know a thing or two about medieval armor, and have done my homework. I don't think you'll be disapointed.
