Title: A Magicish question
Post by: The big blue ape on January 21, 2004, 10:18:28 PM
Not to long ago while reading OBAM, I read the humunculus spell, and I thought of a rather odd thing to do, say for example my character created a humunculus, and transferred all his stats to it, basically duobling his stats in the humunculus(at least this was my understanding). could the humunculus of the original sorcerer then create a humunculus of it thereby basically doubling the stats again? and if this could work, how tall would the second humunculus be?

Heh, an amusing thought.

But I say no, it can't. No reason why it shouldn't necessarily be able to in YOUR games though. COuld be a very interesting three way contest for control, given the potential battle of wills...

Well, i figured after creating the humunculus the sorcerer would just kill himself with it, so there would be no battle for control and so on and so forth

Yes, that's certainly possible under the rules, I guess. You could even then use some growth magic to get around the fact that you're only a foot tall.

I dare you to try it in one of my games though... :-)

Being in the same group as our big blue ape friend, I now fear whatever it is that goes on in your head..... (not that I didn't before)

although that would be kind of cool to have a homunculous of a homunculous, of a homunculous, and so on..... Imagine how small they would eventually get.....

I was tempted to figure that one out... How small would it be.... on the guess that the average man is 65" tall in the game.... saying that the homunculous is a set proportion to the original's size....

Man = 65"
H = 12"
H2 = 2.21538461538461538.............. inches
H3 = 0.4089940828402366863905325443787..... inches
H4 = 0.0755........ inches

Yea, rediculously small.  But beware the 2" sorcerer with a Lecherous Flaw.....
