Title: Holding a Spell
Post by: Alan on January 24, 2004, 04:52:39 PM
In standard TROS magic, is there a way to prepare a spell in advance, then release it later with reduced casting time?

Yes. Do you have a book? It will be easier to discuss if you do. If not, we can work around that.

I have the book right here.  I've noticed that one can Maintain an Instant spell, but from examples like Flight, I assumed "Maintain" was to create a continuous effect, not to hold a spell inactive until released.  Or can it do both?

What you need to take a look at is imbedding spells into objects. These are pre-cast spells that are stored into things. I'm away from my book at the moment, though, so no page numbers. Anybody?
