Hey y'all,
I was wondering if there were any TROS players in the Chicago area I could join and play with. I live in the North side near the lake (Edgewater neighborhood). I admit that I've only played the Quickstart rules, but I really want to try a normal game. I've also giving up on my old gaming group to actually committing to get together again, so I need to find some new players to play with.
Thanks in advance, if you want you can PM me with details.

myself, Seth Ben-Ezra, and Keith Sears have been toying with the idea of starting a TRoS campaign.
But we're all down state in Peoria...which is about 2 1/2 hours from Oakbrook and 3 hours give or take from Evanston (which are the only suburbs I'm familiar with).
Probably quite a haul for you, but if its one you'd be interested in making let me know.
Thanks for the invite, but Peoria would be a bit far to go with any sort of regularity (I'm like 1.5-2 miles south of the Evanston border). But maybe if I can't find anyone else I could go once or twice just to check things out?
Hey Tim,
I don't have a game going, as I'm new to Chicagoland too (Oak Park, just west of downtown). I am joining a gaming group this week. Mainly GURPS, but they are mostly members of the Chicago Swordplay Guild (!). So I'm curious if I can eventually interest them in TRoS.
They might appreciate a realistic swordfight RPG more than I ever could. Or maybe after practicing daily, they want something more cinematic for the weekend...
This could take a few months.

I currently don't have a regular game going right now, but I am in the process of trying to set up a weekly/semi-weekly game on a Tuesday or Thursday night in the north suburbs (Edison Park). The idea is to try different games. The usual groups I play in are pretty much set in playing the two DnD campaigns on Sundays. The first game I want to try is TROS. Private Message me if you are interested.

Ron Edwards runs the game club at DePaul, which should be near you. You might be able to get some contacts from him. I don't know that they're playing any TROS right now, but I'll bet you could find enough players to start a game if they're not.
I'm in Milwaukee, and have players come up from Chi-town all the time. If we play TROS at some point (we've theorized doing it, and have characters), or if I find another game of it up here, I'll send you a note.
