Title: Demons and Preservation
Post by: Ben Lehman on February 21, 2004, 05:42:02 AM
I don't like the way that Preservation, as a demonic power, works.  It seems counter-intuitive to everything else in the system, which is all about throwing extra dice down on the table, to have a "discard" mechanism.

I, at present, have no suggestions for changing it.

Very fair.  In fact, it probably shouldn't'a survived the changes to Fallout for NPCs.  How about, off the top of my head: it knocks one Fallout die straight off, before you roll?  A Preserved character who Sees with three dice takes only two dice of Fallout.

That'll work whether I'm rolling the Fallout as Fallout or giving those dice to you for a follow-up conflict.
