Title: Pollies goes Creative Commons
Post by: ethan_greer on June 21, 2004, 09:31:27 PM
So, I've been wondering about the Creative Commons (http://www.creativecommons.org) thing for a while now since Clinton (http://www.anvilwerks.com) started espousing it a while back.

Tonight, I finally sat down and looked their site over.  As a result, I've decided that the concept is kick-ass and the implementation is kick-asser.  Therefore, I've switched Pollies (http://www.simplephrase.com/freestuff/pollies), one of my free products, to use a Creative Commons license. (Previously, it had a sort of freeform public domain thing going on.)

If you've got a free game published somewhere, I heartily recommend checking out the Creative Commons licenses. They are a good thing, and will make your games cooler.
