Title: Paging John Wick
Post by: Valamir on February 23, 2002, 01:00:33 PM
Any one hear from The Wick recently?

Wicked Press hasn't been updated since early November and I've heard no news about the big changes.

I hope the Real World hasn't intruded too far on game design schedule...

Me Too.

As in, I hope all is well in the Wick World, and I'd love to hear about what's up with the game projects we've all been hoping are gonna be done "real soon now".

I don't know what this means, but I haven't been able to reach John through e-mail.  I hope all is well.

John, you out there?

I feel your pain! Remember to eat, sleep and occassionally shower and you'll make it through okay.

Ah...no shit...I think your return to The Forge is going to exactly coincide with me not having time for The Forge.

Bah - Real Time Strategy - ain't that an oxymoron?  Repeat after me - Turn-based, Turn-Based, TURN-BASED ;-)

Glad things are OK in the Wickiverse . . .

Ahh Gordon, a man after my own heart.

I'm currently nearing the end of yet another campaign of Age of Wonders while I'm waiting for Age of Wonders II and Warlords III.   Warlords being the second greatest computer game of all time (after Civ of course) and Age of Wonders being an "everything but the kitchen sink" tribute to Warlords just makes me all giddy with anticipation.  Throw in MOOIII and I doubt I'll even glance twice at whatever new real time spastic click fest game comes out this year.

My history goes through Warlords to Master of Magic to Heroes of Might and Magic (I and III - I skipped II, and ALMOST avoided the time-sink that is III, but that "complete" pacjage was SO cheap . . . )  Yup, I'm a fantasy junkie.  Pretty true in RPGs, too - but not in my reading.  Odd, that . . .
