Title: Questions through Play
Post by: Judd on April 03, 2005, 10:26:25 PM
Okay, today I gamed with my wargamers.  Don't get me wrong, they love a good story and role-play their hexes off but they all wargame and look at games with those kinds of eyes, with that kind of scrutiny.  They are the crew you want playtesting a new system.

Some questions:

1) If you have 2 postive descriptors, do you get to roll 4 dice and keep the highest 2?

2) On the combat manuevers sheet, there isn't any entry for just a basic strike...what's up with that?

3) I'm not clear on weapon damage and could use some clarification.

4) If you use Destiny Points to give the player an extra die, do you add that entire die to the 2d6 or is it just another die that you take the higher one for?

The second game was also excellent.  We are all having a splendid time.

Judd,

1) No.  You get to keep all of them.

2) Um... Oops.  Not to bright on my part I guess, huh?

3) Okay.  Um where is it hazy for you so I can clarify?  Basically damage is the difference between the attack roll and the defense roll minus the For of the target and the For of his armor (if he has any).

4) Like number 1, get to keep the total.

Hope that helps,
Keith

Keep all of them?

Wow.

No wonder my rolls were coming up so low.

Okay, that makes sense.

Dang, not sure where I got that from.

Okeedoke.
