Title: +1D due to high Reflexes comparison question in Fight!
Post by: Mulciber on May 08, 2005, 02:22:28 AM
Let's say A and B and C get together to have a fight.

A's Reflexes are 3, B's are 4, and C's are 4. (If it matters, A and B are the GM's; they are on the same team.)

So, do B and C get an extra die in positioning due to having the highest Reflexes? Or does no one get an extra die (my favorite solution)?

IOW, when comparing for the extra die due to high Reflexes in Fight!, when  the high Reflexes are shared, ought anyone or no one to get extra dice or is it something else?

Best,
Will

P.S.- Luke, I cannot say how big a deal it is to me that you personally autographed my copy of the Revision. The work that aggregate must have been! But it's clear that you are prepared to work for us, and I thank you for it so very much.

what's the positioning intent? can't have actions happening in a vacuum.

anyway, there really isn't a "highest Reflexes" in this scenario, is there?

I DO believe that only one person per positioning test gets the Reflexes advantage. So in your case, only C would get the advantage die. If there were two people with B4 reflexes and one with B3, no one would get the advantage die.

Allowing a one-to-one-to-one comparison of advantages will only destroy your mind. Keep it simple and only give one advantage die per category per positioning test; one for Reflexes, one for Weapon Length, one for whatever else.
