Title: Multiflip option on pg 100
Post by: Alan on October 19, 2005, 02:21:00 AM
Hi Matt,

I was just reading up on the multiflip conflict resolution - both in the thread
http://www.indie-rpgs.com/forum/index.php?topic=16587 and in the revised rules.

I wondered why you chose to have all three card flips played out before narrating?  I mean I could see it working like Trollbabe extended conflict, where the narrator of each exchange doesn't know what the ulitimate result is.  This gives a sense of back and forth interaction.  It can be done quite easily.

I was going to ask that question, but now I have an idea for the answer:

If you resolve all three steps of card flipping first, then narrate, the narration is likely to go to three different players.  The sense of back and forth is created by the interplay of one narrator's contributions with the next narrator's descriptions?

Am I right?

Yes. Abso-tively.
