Title: Some questions (including "Another Approach to Ganging up")
Post by: Saile on May 17, 2006, 09:31:04 PM
Hi!

I haven't played this game before, but I've heard good things about it and, having read the book, I am looking forward to trying it. However, I think there are some points in the book that are unclear. The following springs to mind:

1) The first is not really a question of clarification, but rather a suggestion of how to avoid a certain kind of conflict that is being debated in another thread: More than one hero fighting the same villain, with more or less the same thing at stake. Let us say that Perjury is picking a fight with the Stalwart /Ernest Squire, trying to show the world his incompetence, and that he could never be the true Stalwart (targeting the Aspect of "Death of the Stalwart". The Stalwart meets the challenge, and wants to fight.
Could the Stalwart use the aspect Leader of the Heroes of Justice to fight Perjury, thereby having the other players in the scene, without having them pick any fights against perjury. This is the Stalwart's fight - the others are coming along because, well, the Stalwart IS, after all, their leader and friend

2) On the same note, could you have a fight without any PC's or villains present? For instance, could Perjury's bullies go after Perl, without Perjury, and try to beat her up?

3) You could have an enrichment scene with a PC and a villain, right?

4) When a player's aspect is Captured, it is transferred to the villain sheet. But does this mean that the villain can let it suffer for cards, instead of the player?
