Title: The Mortal Coil Weekend
Post by: Judd on July 22, 2006, 10:54:16 AM
It has begun. (http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?p=6058967#post6058967")

This game absolutely rocks.

If I had to travel from con to con, known as the GM-With-No-Name, I'd have to travel light.  I'd have PTA, Dogs in the Vineyard, Mountain WItch and Mortal Coil in my bag.

And I hate diceless, hate it.  But the secret bidding retains some of that dice-less tension.  This is not touchy feely, what-do-you-want-to-have-happen-hippie diceless.

One game last night and another on Sunday.

Fun.

Awesome, Judd. The advantage is that all of these are small and light games. You could take them con to con quite easily. :)

I'm not a big diceless fan, either, to tell you the truth. I was pretty unsure when I came up with the concept, but in initial playtesting the secret bidding retained the tension for me, as you say, while still being slightly more predictable than dice. Obviously, I kinda liked it.
