Title: [Mortal Coil] Magical fact price question
Post by: dyjoots on September 30, 2006, 11:14:20 PM
Is it appropriate to use "metagame" prices for certain magical facts?  More specifically, if all of the players had no problem with it, would this be an appropriate a magical fact/price:

"Solars can perfectly defend against an attack, but they must spend a Power* token."

*This is optionally replaced with Passion or Action token...

Absolutely kosher. Facts often need to be backed up by some rule effect, and straying away from the rule adjustments I list in the book is perfectly fine, so long as the table agrees.

Ok, cool.  So, would you say that the list of mechanical/rule effects for magical facts is an example, rather than an exhaustive list?

Yeah, I would. I have had other mechanical effects show up in play. The ones in the book are the most common, however.
