Last night I ran the first test demo of Agon and we loved it.
A bit of confusion came up about 'Ability: Shield'. When is that ability die used? When giving it to someone else as part of an oath? Or can it be woven into the story by the character narrating using the shield in a not so standard context?
Nathan, you can do all of that stuff, and you can also use it in battle. Check out pp48-9:
"You'll need your weapon dice, one ability die, and your name die." The list on 49 shows that shield is a weapon. So, you can use the Shield ability die whenever you are wielding a shield. In fact, 48 specifically uses the Shield ability in one of its examples.
