If the success level is equal or better than the difficulty, the character has succeeded.
So does that mean in addition to contemplating penalty or bonus dice the GM should also calculate a difficulty level to achieve?
Or, any player who rolls then adds their ability level and the total goes over a Zero has succeeded-- and then the higher the better?
Rustin,
The second choice - 1 or better is a success.
Its an artifact from the old version of the rules. (http://www.indie-rpgs.com/forum/index.php?topic=19589.0)
