Title: A Mechaton Question
Post by: Kevin Allen Jr on April 13, 2007, 12:38:49 PM
So i'm a little unclear on spot.

What i want: To build a really fast mech without weapons, but like 2-3 yellow die attachments. This thing would run up to your mechs, get a bunch of spot die, and then my really heavily armored mech with an artillary weapon lays into it from far away.

Is that how spot works? OR does the mech that is attacking need to spot the mech getting attacked? (if thats the case i smell a house rule coming on)

Thank you for taking the time to answer. Thank you x1million for making this game.

In fact you have to spot for a different mech. When you (meaning, this one mech) put a spot on someone, you can't then turn around and use it yourself. Anyone else going after you can use it.

So, yes! Exactly. A green die blue die two yellow dice scout, with hardcore artillery standing back, is fun fun fun.

You might give your artillery fewer attachments, so they get the bonus initiative die, so that you can usually choose to have them go AFTER your scout goes. Blue die two red dice, maybe.
