So, we were discussing syllables for Frank on that german rpg forum. A rules problem popped up. The rules explicitly state:

only animate beings can be affected, and a being cannot be compelled to do an impossible task.
Being followed shortly by an example

If an enemy is holding onto a cliff edge, and the speaker says "fast" to the wind, then the wind will blow faster, and the enemy will receive penalty dice to hang on.
So, is the wind an animate being? Is this an artifact from TSoY, first Edition? Am I dense?
Adjectives apply to anything. Verbs apply only to people and beasts.
