Title: [Agon] Strife limit for encounters vs NPCs
Post by: Ben Robbins on December 11, 2007, 09:00:14 PM
So there's a Strife limit to making a particular NPC (16 for d6 Name heroes). Does that also limit a particular encounter? Can my Strife 16 sorceress have a bunch of Strife 3 minions with her in a fight? Can I have three Strife 10 warriors challenge the heroes?

Granted things might unfold unexpectedly in the game, and the heroes could intentionally but foolishly call all their enemies together to fight at once or something like that, but by design is the Antagonist limited to creating situations with that ceiling?

Don't go putting limits where there aren't any, pardner. :-)

It's a per-NPC limit. Other than that, go nuts. Have as many maxed out NPCs at once as you can afford. I like to have 2 or 3 show up and kick the heroes around when they're getting too cocky.

Well, er, I kind of already did -- that's what led to the Sack of Lemotea (http://"http://www.story-games.com/forums/comments.php?DiscussionID=5030") failure.

Just double-checking to make sure I wasn't being cruel and unusual.

Oh right! Sorry, Ben... I spaced.

You're doing it right. Continue kicking butt.
