Title: SOTC Fate & NPCs
Post by: AXUM on August 14, 2008, 07:32:58 PM
Hello again!

I was wondering if you have any suggestions on running the Antagonist's Fate points (how to use them, etc.):

Do you suggest to play it fast & loose, perhaps?

Or would you suggest to adhere strictly to the Fate Point rules (ie. keep a strict tally, refresh only between sessions), essentially applying the same rules to NPCs that you would apply a PC?

Something else, which I'm totally unaware of?

Thanks
AXUM

For a recurring antagonist who shows up in multiple scenes in the same adventure, I keep track of the NPC's fate points but allow a refresh if the PCs have refreshed (we sometimes refresh midway in a session).  The NPCs follow the same rules as the PCs.  This does not include the GM's infinite pool of Fate Points for compels and stuff...which for me is closer to 30 since that's the number of excess poker chips I usually have!
