Title: Some more inspirations?
Post by: HiQKid on January 18, 2009, 12:07:25 AM
Hey there! I just wanted to mention that I think that Richie Rich might actually be a good fit.
We've got a young guy going up against evil cooperate goons...
Especially the scene where we walks into the office and just takes control. And then we see his friends there, so it's the... juxtaposition, I guess, of the childhood friendship and anti-authority fight.

Also, this verse from Harry Chapins' "On The Road To Kingdom Come" (the verse is, I would guess, about punk rock).

"Wow! The lead singer's raucous
As he screams out the truth!
Then the band holds a caucus
And decides to sell their youth

Our Manager will hawk us
As long as we're uncouth
We'll call it revolution
But we'll crank out Bubble Gum
Can't you see we're all just travelers
On the Road to Kingdom Come."

Any other readers have potential inspiration for MY?

There's Scott Westerfeld's Ugliies/Pretties/Specials/Extras series. I didn't know about t when I wrote the game but Meg from The Brilliant Gameologists introduced me to them and they're totally going in the next edition.
