Title: [MLWM] One-shot rules?
Post by: Klaus_Welten on November 11, 2009, 02:35:02 PM
Hi there! I'm going to GM a demo of MLWM and I've got a question: which values for Fear, Love and so on would be appropriate for a one-shot game?
Thanks for your attention and answers.

Hello Klaus

I usually use Fear 2 or 3, Reason 2 and one starting point of Love per character, for a session that lasts 3-4 hours. Check out this discussion (http://www.indie-rpgs.com/forum/index.php?topic=20306.0) for more accounts. Also this one (http://www.indie-rpgs.com/forum/index.php?topic=10125.0).

Christoph's numbers should work well. I nudge Fear down and nudge Reason up during the game when it makes sense to do so.

Also, as Christoph says, start characters with 1-2 points of Love each. Give minions leeway on breaking out of the scenes you (as Master) frame to get more Love.
