Title: community and links
Post by: Matt Wilson on April 23, 2003, 11:52:13 PM
Hey all:

That recent thread in this forum got me thinking, and I pitched an idea to Ron, and he seems pretty thumbs up about it.

My perspective of the Forge is that it exists to offer a specific kind of support: if I need publishing advice, a rules critique, or help with GM-ing, I come to the Forge.

The Forge doesn't provide support for plenty of other things game related, like, say, gamers with children and how to find other gaming parents, and how to keep toddlers from swallowing d4s, and all that.

But there's no reason why the resource library can't include those kind of links. Sort of like doing a customer referral. And chances are those sites'll respond in kind, and the gaming community will live happily ever after. I didn't know about the Forge until Clinton mentioned it on a Seattle gamers site, so there you go.

So I'm going to try and track a few down.

Matt,

I've added a category in the Resource Library for Game Support to fill this need - feel free to post the links there. (And shoot me an e-mail afterwards.)
